Mixed media assemblage by John Robertson
Wolf the lamb is
9" x 9" wood, paper plastic, tar I've had questions on
how I make these pieces. It is relatively simple.
You get a bunch of toys and a box. Throw in the toys and pour
tar all over them. Then spend the next three hours trying to clean
up the mess you have made. Also remember not to breath too much of
the
tar fumes. Don't do this in a closed room. It will put you
the
emergency room (I can attest to this) This piece is in
direct response to my early child days visiting
the Los Angeles La Brea Tar Pits. I was always facisnated with
the pits. They were only about a mile from where we lived and I
loved
to see the bones of the animals emerging from the black tar.
They seemed to still be alive.
